Considering it's a 2x2 table, there's only 4 tiles worth of surface. Much like a dining table, each person needs a seat and an open tile on the table for food. Same for their cards.

So, 4 tiles = 4 people.

That's not true for tables. I have a 3x3 table in my dining room and 12 people will sit around it to eat perfectly fine.

I can confirm, I have 10 people eat at my 4x2 tables.

hmm are we sure about that ? ... did read in another topic that if 2 pawns eat at the same tile ( corner or the table ) one will get the * eaten without a table* debuff even if he was at a table, due to there not being a free table tile. ..... never tested it tho.

Yeah, just tested it now to make 100% sure. Made a new game with 4 colonists, placed a 1x2 table with four chairs, two either side. Used Food -20% on the dev tool to put them all at starving so they'd all eat at the same time, and none of them had the 'Ate without a table' debuff.

Surprised tynan hasn't made it a feature yet, minor debuff/buff based on traits if a pawn likes eating at a crowded table. I just kinda surrounded them with chairs and never seen an issue crop up. Adds to tbe beauty score anyway so less whining about that ONE PATCH OF DIRT in the corner.

rimwiki might have an article on it but it seems a tad sparse on SCIENCE data like that. Edit:♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mothafuk'n ninjas up in here!

This was a long standing bug in earlier versions of the game. It was fixed at some point around I think A14-A15 or so. So the info you read wasn't BS, just outdated. =P
