Where does the game save at?
Tried a google search, it told me to hit a button in the in game options, which I can't do as my PC currently can't even launch it, Playing on a windows PC, just need to know where the defualt save location is.

While I was playing there was an error while trying to make a save, and my hard drive was maxxed out, 170+GB free down to 75 KB in 30 seconds or so.

And now my C drive is back to normal, while I haven't actually done anything yet... Now I'm confused.

Do you allow steam to update games in the background as soon as the update is available? If so be aware that some games basically get decompressed or duplicated in temp files during that process and can easily eat 170gb of drive space. Or windows was playing silly sods with the pagefile and made it huge for a bit.

If I'm not playing anything yea, it'll update, nothing's updated though. Just took me by surprise, never seen a PC do that before. As long as it doesn't do it again, everything's fine, lol

Something was in the process of figuring out how much space it needed to reserve/use for something. Likely, an active temporary cache that started or some similar process. That's why it "disappeared" since it was just a temporary cache.

I have heard/read of Steam's update/Workshop being directly responsible for some really obnoxious caches and some problems with it releasing them properly. Your OS should quickly figure it out when it's rebooted or finally beats Steam over the head and gets it to release them.
