yeah i know i should be swift and turn of medical use on that but those idiots goes through medical kits like kids in a candy in a candy store with ohter things, here is a exsample

(on perma death)
*Help! i'm bleeding to Death! afther the raider attack*

*fear not i *lola*[random name because i don't remember it now] the ''level 14'' ''professional'' ''doctor'' will help you*
*uses entire medical kit on a little bruise and the rest of the herb meds on ohter bruise marks on his arm while his torso are bleeding like sieve,then uses none medical treatment on the torso*

*five seconds later Alert!
*congratulation your collonist have gota a infection in the torso somehow. i wonder how that got there* FU**!!!

*don't worry i Lola the ''doctor'' despite the lack of a medical kits will fix this*

*5 mins later Alert!
*congratulation your collonist have died from a infection somehow* FU*****! DAMN! BULLSH**!! YOU PIECE OF SH**!

*sends a guy to arrest her* *How dear you try to arrest me afther all i have don for you* *resist arrest and gos berserk, somehow manged to knock out the guy* *sends more guys and tamed animals starts to attack too* *lola dies* *meanwhile inside my head* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU etc. wait maybe i can harvest her organs with my low level doctors *the operation button is gone* FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU etc again.

by the way thats not the only reason i tryed to arrested her she also wasted a lot of bio arms and meds before that also it was one of my early games but the point is still there, they use all the medical kits on the little bruises before fixing the important wounds and all the doctors do it.

like *comes chargeing in the door* QUICKLY THIS GUY GOT A BRUISE ON HIM THIS IS NOT A DRILL.. also he also got shot six time in the chest but more important HE GOT A BRUISE.

by the way i can't stand that the Alert sound is the same as when something good happens its so confusing, always make it sound cheery when something bad happends.

That mod doesn't fix the issue the OP is complaining about. There is no mod AFAIK that makes doctors prioritize more serious wounds with better medicine. I find it to be a non-issue though as I tend to keep a couple hundred med kits on hand at all times. They can use them for every stubbed toe, I don't care, I'll buy 50 more the next time a trader is selling them.

I imagine tynan will address that himself at some point. Personally I am like you, I just make sure I have a crap load of medicine anyway, I grow a ton of herbal and I convert it as rapidly as I can once i have the research.

The real thing new players struggle with the most I think is the fact that if you don't manually assign someone to high priority cleaning you wind up with a lot of blood in your medical rooms, which turns into infections because it makes the room so dirty.

what im tired of is them priotizing minor wounds over critical wounds. if u got 1 medicine they will use it on his bruises first over his missing arm that is bleeding perfusly.

Thats why i set everyone to herbal. If they need something better I'm GONNA KNOW about it.

But it would be nice if someone made a mod that made pawns smart enough to know what meds to use for what particular wounds, and to treat the deadly stuff first.

I actually had someone bleed to death just before my doctor finished treating the bleeding wound when he first fixed all the non bleeding wounds. It's rare that it makes that kind of difference from I've seen though.
I'm not sure I fully understood your rant near the end, but I'm just going to comment on the fact that you're mad at your doctor.

If you want to punish them, you can simply go to their Health tab, go to "Operations" and then click "Add bill". There should be an option to euthanize the person.

Or simply click "Administer beer" to get them drunk, then haul them to a bed and extract their organs. More profitable.

You could change the type of medicine you give to your colonists, and then when something actually really happens - boost the medicine to allow for actual medicine.

It's the only way that I've been able to try to keep Plagues away when I don't have the medicine to produce, but have tons of herbal meds.
Simple solution:

8x4 patch of Healroot
Chemical bench with "make medicine always, drop on floor"
3 1x1 stockpiles next to chem bench for neurotamine, cloth, and herbal meds.

Never run out of medicine again.

I have managed to get by with Healroot after initial medicine runs out. What is the difference? I haven't had to do any surgeries or had any infections yet.
