"Standing" bug?
If I tell a colonist to do something, he'll ALWAYS stand still, and not do it, even if I wait for 2-3 hours in game, he still just stands there...
It happens sometimes to other colonists, but not every time.. Is this a bug or a mod problem or a health issue, or am I just being dumb?

Did you uninstall some mods that aren't updated? I only used hair mods and some of them aren't updated. So once I removed them, they I haven't seen the standing bug happen since.

yeah i did the same mistake as you, made a thread 10 other people have made as well. Some reason I didn't think to type the word standing in the search bar.

Didn't work, he still just stands around... and right, that search bar that I scold people on using every day.. forgot that existed... oops...
Anyways, he still just stands around, even without the mod

I'm having the same problem. For me too it's got to be a mod. Two of my six colonists just stand and the text actually describes their activity as 'standing'. I have begun to get them to move but they then will do one action at a time and then have to be re-directed. In my case I have the same set-up and mod list on two separate computers and only have the problem on one. I don't recall exactly how or when the problem started but I suspect the difference is related to whether I started a fresh game or not.

So, is there a way to solve this problem? I do not have any mods installed and I did not installed no mods at all and some of my colonists still stays "Standing." doing nothing.

Mine was fixed, I uninstalled a mod and started a new save, may be that, but I also realized...
How's your colonist's health? Mine had like, frail back, dementia, and a few other things. Is your guy's health fine?

Well, he is suffering from a minor heatstroke, but all my other colonists have the same heatstroke affliction and they are working just fine.

If a colonist is "standing" with no job for hours and he never "wanders" or does any other jobs, and no mods are installed, and you have restarted RimWorld after disabling all mods and started a new game, that is most likely a bug. In the "think tree" for colonists they should always fall back on "wandering" if no other jobs are available.

If this is the case, save that game and submit it to the Ludeon bug forum.

Well, I finally found what was the problem. But it is still an annoying bug nevertheless.

So, after some hours past and the colonist standing still, another colonist came in the room and he "contracted" the bug of "Standing." still too. So I thought: "Wtf?! You too?!" Then I thought with myself: "Well, there must be something wrong with this room." I looked around and saw nothing wrong. But then I had a hunch. I saw a door to the north that I -prohibited- the colonists to use. Standing on the door was a little pile of wood, marked as "Not forbidden"(so it can be hauled). So I forbid this pile of wood and the colonists got back to work. They were probably "thinking" how to get that wood ^^''

Easy way to see what causes this is, turning on dev mode and checking the log. clear it and then double tap R, you'll get coordinates, then click the magnifying glass and find the location. Happens alot if you make 1x1 stockpile next to something for some reason.
