When you travel with your caravan, you can stop anywhere in the travel, no need to go straight from point "A" to point "B",

by example, if your destination are at 10 day of walk, and you have only food for 5 day, in the world map you can go anywhere, so try to stop after 4 days of travel somewhere in the wildeness you can take fruit from the map, or taking time to kill some animal for meat,

anyway it's just to make a campement for the time to find food, so if you are in the summer time, you can stop neer anywhere, if you are in the winter time, it's can be more hard because they have no fruit and you perharps need to hunt some animal, but if the animal are small it's not a problem for most of your traveller...

in big, it's a little such as a nomade group, you can advance and stop at each day if you want or if you have too much stuff on you for selling and not enought place for more food,

for the muffalo (I hate this animal), they pass her time to eat always even if they don't need, but anyway, if you travel with muffalo, they can eat herb from the ground in the summer time, so, no need big amout of food for her,

but if you miss food, all the animal can eat plate, so if you have a bunch of single plate sometime it's less problem to give her a plate than trying to found her favorite food..., just drop the food on the ground and the animal go eat it if they want...
