How to remove dev-mode Permanently???

Guys i'm really desperate that dev mode is completely ruining my rimworld experience, I tend to use it quite often.

Don't tell me: oh man just stop cheating! NO I need a way to completely wipe out that devmode.
Something like deleting a file related to devmode forever or something like that, anyway searching the game's folder I found nothing related to it, only a .xml in which I deleted the line referring to devmode true/false, but had no effect in game.

I used the unstable 16 and also have it and dont use it. You sound like an alcoholic who says damn I cant have alcohol in my house because Ima drink it.

I think u will always find some ways to actually "cheat" in Rimworld. With or without DevMode

Yeah, I mean I hate to be a ♥♥♥♥ and tell you the very thing you told me not to tell you, but... man, just stop cheating!

There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The only way is to just control yourself.

I don't see how anything we could tell you to do would help you. If you don't have the self control to keep dev mode off in-game, then you probably don't have the self-control to keep it off outside of the game. You'll just revert your changes to the config the next time you feel the urge.

That said, don't feel guilty about cheating in a single player game if that's what you want to do. I don't think you would do something that ruins the fun for you, I think you feel bad about cheating and that's the part bringing you down. Cheat all you want, nobody is judging you.

It's an early access title in it's alpha phase... it's likely the finished product won't have a dev mode button on display like this, so you can wait a few years for that!

Huh? O.O Just turn it off and dont use it? Otherwise maybe seek some medical help cause its all just you.

I've been save file editing and memory hacking for many long years. Nothing wrong with cheeting a single player game. Heck some times you might even want to change somthing to increase dificulty, such as freezing an enmy spawn counter to keep enemies spawning infinatly.

Still despite a history attaching cheatengine to the running process of prity much every game in my libery, I dont let it ruin my fun. Hear is my method for ensuring I dont deviate from playing games in truly iron man mode.

I simply save the game as, name the profile, or call the civilization/colony 'No cheat". Then every time I start or end a gaming session, the name reminds me, this is the playthough I am not cheeting in. And I dont.

A good rule of thumb as a gamer is, never start cheeting at a game untill your no longer having fun. If your still enjoying a game, its not time to start cheeting at it, but when you do start, keep the cheeting to specific playthoughs.

Cheeting is grate, its a fantastic way to squeeze a bit more fun out of a game your compleetly bored with, or to make a game fun that just isnt fun to start with. You should definatly squeeze as much fun as you can out of every game you buy. Just set some rules for yourself and keep to them. And maybe save your games in such a way as to remind you of your intentions when you started them. It works fine for me.

Yah this mod removes the option in game... and you can only load saves that you started with this mod, whilst this mod is active... problem solved :P

still need some mod which will install this mod

Go to folder
C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config\
Delete that file called DevModeDisabled. You should be fine.
