Proper child/parent relationships
When I was randomizing my colonists, there was a 25 y/0 father, and a 25 year old son. I think father/daughter or whatever relationships should be fixed because why would a newborn child have children?

Yeah, sometimes I've even seen pawns generated that are older than their parents (not including age differences due to cryptosleep). The ages make little sense, but so far ultimately the parent/child relationships seem to have little effect on the pawns save for when one dies and the relative gets a mood debuff.

That COULD be possible, due to relative time in space travel, while being frozen in cryocaskets..

You foster a child at 23/24 and travel the galaxy for a few years, while being frozen most of the time. You come back 25 years later, are almost as old as you left, and you are now father to a child that is as old as you are. (At least biological)

You have to look at their actual age not their biological age. I'm pretty sure it always makes sense. You don't ever get a 300 year old son with a 200 year old father AFAIK.

if there is no explanation for that plothole . -> time travel.
always works :D

Dad has kid at 20 then gets frozen. Kid grows up until he is 30 then gets frozen. A couple hundred years later their deep space transport breaks up and they crash land.

Dad 20 (220 years absolute)
Kid 30 (180 years absolute)

Yup the reason for this is due to cryosleep. Check their chronological age compared to biological age.

Nah, I've gotten weird stuff with chronological age too.
