Ugly Room
I have 2 bedrooms that are built at 2 separate locations in my base. Each room is 6x6 with a double bed, cloth chair, flower pot, light and air conditioner. Both are built with wood walls and floors. One has a .12 ugly rating and the other a .24 ugly rating.

Why is one uglier than the other if they are built and furnished exactly the same? I even made the floor marble in the .24 ugly room and it is still .24 ugly. Any ideas why it is so much uglier?

One is dirty and one isnt?

You can check with the beauty overlay the exact values.

You really only need a single bed unless you have a couple, and a room with walls and floors that is clean to avoid the ugly modifier.

Lights arent really much needed either, their only benefit is that if the colonist is praying or meditating in their room etc they dont get a temporary darkness penalty, which really isnt worth the electricity cost.

We would need a screenshot to be able to help but a guess would be that one room is a bit dirty

The furniture was all built by the same colonist and has the same quality. It is dirt. I will change the priority on Cleaning and see if it gets cleaned up.

Thx for the fast replies.

it has to be either dirt or the quality of built items. i tend to the second.

it doesnt matter if the same crafter builds all the items.

a lvl 18 crafter has still a 11% chance to craft normal quality.

so i think one has a ugly bed maybe in it.
