Where is my dumping area ?
Can't remember where I put it and can't see it on the map ... is there a way to have it flashing on the screen ?
Thx

Sadly, nothing to really help with this issue. The only thing that can be changed is whether it is hidden or not. That is one of the icons in lower right of screen. That only helps if you have "hidden" the stockpile. Not something most people use though. Most likely it just happens to be a color that blends in with the background well, making it hard to see.

edit: My guess is the only time people use the "Hide stockpile" option is to take a nice screenshot.

I never hide zones. I create them and then use the toggle to display or not according to my needs at any given time. Have you tried the toggle to see if you can find your missing zone?

What do you mean 'the toggle' ? Could you explain a bit more ?

When you select a stockpile, along the bottom of the screen buttons pop up. One of those is a button that toggles back and forth between Hidden or not. If you leave it Hidden you will not see the stockpile color background (the items do not hide, just the background color)

When you have any non-hidden stockpiles, switching the "Toggle stockpile visibility" toggle in the lower right shows/unshows those. No effect on Hidden Stockpiles.

edited: 2nd paragraph had faulty info. Thanks to BioFringe for the correction!

Ok I see. Well, it was not hidden but the background colour nearly perfectly matches the terrain and I couldn't see it. This should be improved IMO with a more contrasted color ...
But Thanks for the info, now that I know, I should now be able to find them... :-)

That Toggle will only toggle visable stockpiles to show or not show them. It doesn't affect the Hidden toggle that is part of the stockpile itself. If you hide a stockpile then that toggle won't help you.

As far as the color goes there is a mod that allows you to change it to anything you want. Look for ReColor Stockpile

I stand corrected, think I was just remembering wrong. I will edit my reply to make that correct. Thanks!

Yes, that mod is included in the HardcoreSK modpack and I always meant to go looking for the standalone. Never remember! Thanks, will be doing that right now and adding to my list, it is super helpful!

OP: here is link to that mod BioFringe is talking about:

Guess it's not the same version HcSK uses, but that is OK. Same result! Think they updated the original a while back and Kiame either made a new one, or updated the original in a different way.

Try this trick: Create a new dumping stockpile. Zoom way out. Double click the stockpile you just created. Double click should select and highlight all of the same item on the screen and you may see your old dumping stockpile highlighted.
Also, order a colonist to haul something and see where it goes.

"Where is my dumping area ?"

Probably in the same room where you shower.
