stuck in stoneage
is there a non cheaty way to get my tribe unstuck in the stoneage-research-stage?
it is def. relatetd to the ancient shrine bug, which has been resolved by clearing all 3, having parties and marriages now like it should have been, settlement has a name now too.

it isnt too bad to spent 3x and 4 of the time to research but i had to lower the difficulty drasticly which isnt what i intended in the firstplace

Change Research Speed ?

Actually IIRC vanilla doesn't have a way to get out of research stage if you started in that. Did you start as tribal group? They are stoneage research for the entire game. Otherwise, a mod may help.

But without a mod, I overcame it by using 2-3 researchers all the time until getting to the space ship (at that point, there wasn't something that I felt was always "in a hurry" to get, so I just let one researcher take care of it)

Here are some example mods I found real quick. There may be others that you'll want to check out.

Cheaper Research

ah okay, i thought it would be like with the 3 survivors and you would progress through the stages?
kevinshow Sep 28, 2017 @ 4:10pm
IIRC even the 3 survivors don't change their tech level (but maybe what you meant is their research is cheaper). It is just that they are the default points group for the research, so if you played them first, and then tribal, you were probably shocked (like I was) to see the double points for research. Yikes!!

I also thought the tribal group may change research points but as I went along and realized that they didn't, I was glad I had extra peons on research already anyway, so their INT skill was up higher already for the higher-cost research items.

hm k so it is intentional, but still sort of strange to have geothermals and climate control while you live in the stoneage, let alone the spaceship. GHXX does the trick for me, thank you for that help

if you know it is like that you can adapt, if you are stuck for 5 years in constant "war" with raiders poisonships and 3 shrines you get a little unpleasent^^

They're massively slower (3.1 Terriers vs 5 Wargs), and have less than about 1/3 of their damage (3 vs 10), at the very least, so a pack of terriers is much more laughable than wargs. Both cases are some fairly good reasons to invest into at least two enforcers with incendiary launchers, though.

That is close Could use it for front back the that left facing image simply reverse it. Would need to be resized which is beyond my ability. Would be a easy sprite picture change in the folder of the mod.

May post it in the modding section enough people in rimworld and fallout community someone may have the expertise to make a patch mod of a picture similiar to that
x01 and x02 are, effectively, Enclave armor variants from way back in F02, and then re-designed somewhat for Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Personally, design-wise, I prefer Brotherhood's new signature t45 armor (starting with F3, that is; before that, it was t51b).
