Nope. Rimworld's lore is heavily based on the idea that the stork brings babies into the world but only when they reach the ripe old age of 14 when the child becomes too heavy for the stork to carry. After that they are on their own.

That would explain why I can plant roses but no cabbage I guess.

Rimworld didn't grow up in an Irish household. It's unaware of the existence of cabbage.

Most colonies dont last more then a decade. Children would be a drain on the colony. That mod makes them more useful then children would actually be (this isnt a chinese sweatshop)

Dwarf Fortress says hello. Wielding their newborn infants as a banner (or an occasional shields), dwarf ladies are so manly they can behead demons and tend to their kids at the same time until these kids reach tje venerable status of six-months-old teens, giving them their own independent locomotion and unlimited access to your booze.

Some players even assembled full squads of pregnant dwarves using the infants as secondary shields for their Legendary Axedwarves.

Not to mention, eheh, baby showers if you rather not deal with the infants.

Speaking of babies, I like how the two stories that are commonly considered to be the examples of Videogame Cruelty both involve children (even if of diferent races) and Dwarf Fortress. One about the Mermaid Farming, and the other is the story of Good Guy Obok Meatgod, if someone's wondering.

They're that popular? I've only ever seen I'm Meatgod and mermaid farms mentioned in and around DF related things.

Naw rimwolds core is your not suppose to be alive long enough in thegame to raise a kid. The goal suppose ot be die out, or make a new space ship and live. Plus people were up in arms about what people could do with cannabilism and babies I think some one joked I hoped on their forums the would bread babies as meat sourch and people lost their ♥♥♥♥ about the idea, and poitned out the rating would have jump up to M for mature if babies were put in with out mods.

Well, you definitely would see them both on TvTropes; I've also seen people who know about them quite a bit here on Steam in Fallout's and Warframe's forum branches (aside from RimWorld's), and on a number of resources unrelated to Steam (not many, though, since I don't hang out much on different forums all that much); otherwise, not many people talk about things of that sort just in general, so being known at least among _some_ people is already a notable... \:Grineer:/
