ergo- You're not suppose to mess around with the deepwater.
Get the bridge mod and build on tier 2 bridges.
And I'm going to almost guarentee you that there isn't a mod for that, on the grounds that removing deep water would be quite game breaking.
Otherwise, there's a mod to get island maps.

And another mod that lets you change terrain through gameplay rather than using dev mode, including builadable deep water, and the ability to convert deep water into other terrain.

But uh, thanks for bein helpful.
You also dont understand ">wordswordswords".
Also i love you're "HOLIER THEN THOU" act, have fun on your island boy-o, dont forget about your 5th grade math test :D
The part about everyone else being a troll is just simply not needed, you have your problem solved, why start a flame war?
Especially because they're explicitly banned according to the Steam discussion rules. (Visible when you go to Community -> Discussions at the top of the page, and (I assume) elsewhere).
Don't worry! We all feel that way sometimes, and most of us would be liars if we said we never unjustly got mad at someone while we were upset.
I haven't specifically tested this, but many events in the game -- trader and visitor arrival, animal spawning, even plant regrowth -- depend upon having edges that can be "crossed." That's why even "island" maps in the vanilla game have only one side that's actually coast. When you used dev mode to place deep water along all four edges of your map, my guess would be that the game "freaked out" because you'd inadvertently broken all of those things. ;)
And on a side note, I'm glad you're finding my mods helpful!
