your colonists walk at a different speed than raider when they decide to leave and kidnapping is crap. you cannot catch up unless their movement speed is weakened due to injury or health. it is unfair, im with the OP.
quit suggesting "solutions". Only to equal movement speed will satisfy, not enemies with special powers.
It's pretty much build walls to block vision from snipers but still allow them to pathfind and get within range of your turrets and pawns. I've seen this defense that was just 1x1 tile walls peppered all over this 3 tile wide entrance. There was an animal zone there and a bear. That's all. That method work because he had a mountain base but it demos my point.
Yeah i play on max map sizes with bases take one corner of the whole map, focus defenses on certain points and build walls to funnel raiders to that point
One can you screenshot your base I'll be interested in seeing it.
But turst me you aren't putting in proper defenses
