Rimworld Hilarious Weapon Art Description
For every plasteal longsword there's an "art" button with description, and I found them hilarious. Post your colonist's "art" here and give us something to laugh at!

I'll give a start.

This weapon is engraved with a representation of Serra Lear capturing White Rodaballo with obviouly excessive force. Serra is kicking Rodaballo for no obvious reason. The style is purist with romansque elements. An ostrich waits in the lower part of the image. This stroy tells the story of the capturing of Rodaballo on 12th of Aprimay, 5504.

I'm not sure about other weapons but there are for sure "art" on long swords, at least for long swords with quality above superior, take your time and read them, they are truely hilarious

Depending on your luck, you can find most items marked with an 'art' tag that have some - oftentimes, hilarious - depictions on them. These work the same as sculptures and may be applied to most if not all weapons, regardless of material and shape (though, I've only seen them on high-quality items - superior and above - so there's that). Speaking of which, these Art descriptions intersect closely with Sculptures, so it's not too uncommon to see terrific gems of text-based descriptions there as well.

Something I remember went vaguely like this:
This weapon is engraved with a picture of Geoff 'Straid' Geler vomiting profusely with ill intent. A group of frogs in the middle of a city adorns the top of the image. The work is performed in hyper-realistic style, and represents violence and tranquility. This artwork commemorates Geoff 'Straid' Geler vomiting on 2nd of Jugust, 5501.

The weapons have to be high quality, legendary I think in order to get an art description. It's likely the OP has a really good weaponsmith and they're churning out good quality gear.

All sculpted art from the work bench (and art sculptures from traders) will have art descriptions.

They 100% do spawn on [Supr]-quality s, even if quite rarely.

Excellent+ weapons (any including guns) = art
Sculptures = art by default
Looted/bought weapons sometimes havent had art but any your folk make will do including the name of who made it.
Sounds like a reference to Dwarf Fortress more than anything.

I just found art can not only be on weapons but also on artworks (duh...), and I found this one hilarious.

White Love

This piece resembles Asate Sharr stalking an alphabeaver from afar as the alpha beaver relaxes. The alphabeaver seems totally oblivious. The work is shaded in jues of purple and black. There is a helmet in the lower part of the image. This artwork relates to Sharr's successful hunt on 10th of Jugust, 5500.

Yeah. Rimworld uses Dwarf Fortress engravings on high quality items. Nothing new, here.

Actually, they seem to be slighty more restrained in how descriptive they are here. I'm not even talking about obscure stuff like the Plainpacked; it just generally seems that RimWorld has a smaller amount of potential art subjects and details, with all (okay, most) generated art descriptions following the same or similar pattern of 'forefront object/actor - action - potential secondary forefront object/actor - frame/background/side image - comment on technique/style - commemoration, if any', with just a small handful of potential abstract pieces. With DF, though, art was either more abstract, with non-historic artpieces being much more descriptive (and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything is always adorned with spikes because reasons), while historical ones being both more on-point and detailed.

Also, OP, wait till your sculptor would start making sculptures of themselves, and then make sculptures of themselves making sculptures of themselves. This actually also slightly reminds me of Dwarf Fortress, as randomly-generated Necromancers in that game would typically be scholars, stamping out book after book after book, sometimes going so far as to write one about how they wrote a book about themselves.
