Haven't seen them in years. Not sure what state/country you live in.
This will give you the best information. Most of it is unnecessary, just look at wildness (higher is worse),dps and how much meat/fur each one gives. Higher meat/fur should translate into high hp for body parts, meaing better bullet sponge.
Grizzly bears are omniviorous. No idea how the game reflects this.
Started a test game and spawned them both in.
Grizzly bears can deal with temps of 50C to -40C
Polar bears can deal with temps of 50C to -80C
Polar bears appear on Ice sheet, sea ice and Tundra only
Grizzly bears appear on boreal, temperate and Tundra
Their harvested skins have identical stats.
They are functionally identical, with Polar bears having a bonus to dealing with extremely cold temperatures while alive.
That is all I could find.
Ya know, this is something you could have easily done yourself...
Truth hurts, doesn't it?
Preach my man, preach!!!
Yet you were asking for help in another thread that you could have easily done the work for yourself.
There is nothing wrong with asking for help. Especially if someone is new then they don't know all avenues and somtimes the community [is] the best place to go. Don't give them snuff for asking for assistance. You are the sole reason of why RimWorld's community gets a bad name.
Futhermore, you go into several threads of people asking questions and all you say is, "Do it and see what happens" or, "Look yourself."
You are right, there is nothing wrong with asking for help. There is also nothing wrong with informing people on how to answer a question they posed, themselves. In fact, thats usually the best avenue, you wont be given wrong info, and it creates the foundation for further information gathering.
Mad hatter could have easily lied to the op about what he "discovered" (not saying you did that mad hatter, your information syncs with what i know from experience and you've been respectable in these forums) and said anything, then the op would have believed him based only on the fact he was too lazy to find out for himself.
I doubt maruaderman is the "sole reason of why RimWorld's community gets a bad name."
Have you read any of bigstheengineer's comments?
It's a matter of what you say/how you say it and the fact Marauder does this on a constant. Goes into a thread and instead of actually answering the question posed, he says to do it themselves. Ya just don't do that.
And yeah, I've seen their comments. I condensed the majority of those wo give this community a bad name when I should have say, "People like you."
Instead of saying, "Do it yourself" you show them the avenues to take so that they CAN do it themself. While I didn't particularly answer the question, I did show them where to go to find out. I didn't leave them hanging, I didn't end it vaguely; I gave them a direct source. If someone is going to not answer the question, then you show them the means. Don't leave them out in the cold. This is a community. We help one another. Not segregate based on who knows more or less.
