im new to this game, how do i get stone?

im trying to build a stone house but i cant seem to find stone, any help?

build stonecutter table and set up the bills

make stone cutter table. Then once its made click it and add a bill tomake stone blocks. Then pick a pawn who can craft and tell them to work on it.

Also an idea to have a dumping stockpile and have your pawns put chunks there first. They'll go wandering all over the map to find chunks if you let them, and that's a recipe for having pawns eaten by wildlife.
