No parties or marriages.
So its been a few versions since i played this game, so i don't know if there has been any changes.
But before some colonist would throw a party once in a while.
And after getting engaged they would after a couple of seasons get married.

After 3 years there has never been a party in my colony, and my oldest cuple has been engaged for 1,5 year now.

So my question is, is this normal for A17?
Did they significally lower the chance for this to happen?
As i can't tell wether its intended or possibly bugged, i hope someone who played alot more games recently knows how often this should happen.

seems to work as normal for me 1-2 partys a year a few couples

But atleast for pawns to be *lovers* in the first place there are some things that needs to match.. a lot of traits will not work together so maybe you just got unlucky with the pawns ?

My celebrations systems are working fine. Post-marriage euphoria is a lovely environment for heinous human experimentation.

Luck of the draw. Sometimes it'll be years before it happens, if it does at all.

Did you set a party and marriage spot?

sounds like you have an amish community
For me they've gotten married after as little as one day of engagement, or as much as about a year and a half.

Regarding parties it's difficult to say. They happen often enough, I suppose. I don't set a particular spot for it to happen, but they seem to gravitate to high beauty areas. That's just an observation. I don't know the specifics of the mechanics behind it.

Yes, its inside my extremly impressive rec room.

It should be said that this game file allready has one bug as i never had my colony named. (stupid combat bug and its ages since the combat music ended)
Dunno if that has any impact on parties and marriages happening.

Maybe time to verify integrity of game files.

I think this is a known bug with ancient danger on the map preventing your colony being named. Which also ties into the combat music always playing.

You have to clear out the ancient danger to fix the music. I would assume this would fix the naming issue as well, but if it doesn't in the dev mode you can trigger the colony naming event.

It's been over three years on mine and no wedding and no pop-up about naming the colony. I've got a marriage spot, a great rec room and no ancient danger.

Very much this hehe.. I didn't notice any issues with music in latest game, but it took ~8-10 years before I came across the ancient danger in my map (burried in the middle of a mountain)..as soon as I killed the robbits everyone could finally get married etc hehe

tis an insanely silly bug :/

alot of people will disagree but i havent had these happen on any world where i have the ancient danger glitch

i have this bug too, i am 3 or 4 years into the game, the first couple broke up after a year or so, the second is also way more reasonable with 18 and 21 years old, better than 52 and 33, but hey, who am i to judge them

also no parties since settling here, there, well in my game

btw i play on a larger map with at least 3 ancient shrines, one is cleared atm

If I go 5 years without any events due to the bug I use dev mode to find them then I clear them out with my colonist like if I had found it normaly
