Get them to safety in a room at normal room temperature. As long as they remain in an overheated room or environment, the heat stroke will persist or worsen.

Create a cooler or some passive cooler.
And vents help to pass the temperature from a room to an other.

In temperature menu there's steel air conditioners you can build and place (with blue arrow aiming into room and red outside). Then I add vents to all the rooms. Seems to work out well~ at least till there's a Heat Wave. :( You can also build the emergency coolers out of wood and place them around spots you need them to work at. You can also strip off their clothing if it gets really bad. I'll also try to never pick a hot-ish area ever again next time I start a new colony. All I know for that for the moment.

Especially Alpaca Wool dusters.

My latest games, I use prepare carefully(mod) and ditch 1/3 of my steel/components, some medicine, my pistol, and only go with 20 food. The savings are spent on two alpacas and two huskies. The early game is rough going, but once the alpacas start breeding I have awesome dusters to handle heat waves. And they do well for winter as well until I can get enough alpaca wool to make jackets.
