How do I get rid of withdrawal?
So I have not played rimworld in a few patches, and one of my colonists has a -35 wake-up withdrawal for the past 4 or so in-game days. He keeps staying on the verge of breaking. How do I fix this? Thanks for any help(also I am pretty early game).

give him some wake up XD
withdrawal is tough to get through (speaking from experience), need to provide him with lots of bonuses to offset the debuff and wait it out, can take a while to get past it

First thing i did when i got this game was do a bunch of real-life situations wherein I am in the wilderness going insane from 'wake-up drug' withdrawal, it was funny but also painful and i don't think I'm gonna be able to stop snd live at the same time. all too real.

Form a caravan with just some food and your junkies and send them off on a long walkabout in the wilderness. Depending on what it is, it can take 15-20 days to mostly clear up. If they go nuts (and they will periodically), its no big deal.

Cook enough meals to feed a colonist for a week, I don't know exactly but around 20 I think. Then send them out in a caravan on their own. Let them sit out there for a week, they'll have a lot of nasty breakdowns but eventually they should wear off their addiction. Less dangerous to your colony this way.

Just ride it out
And don't forget to take your junkies weapons away

Problem with this tactic is when you encounter ambush or manhunters while breaking. Any comments?

One less mouth to feed.

I usually just pop a joywire in them and it offsets the penalty pretty well until they detox. Joywires are pretty cheap and if you call an exotic goods trader they almost always have at least one.

Alright, while your addicted colonist is still sane, set them to a sleeping spot within a room, make a stockpile as much food as you think they'll need(within this room). Then While they are sleeping, build a wall block infront of their door so they can't escape if they go mad. This will work..I think..I'm still sorta testing it out.
*EDIT* Forgot to say that this is the method for which you wait out withdrawal to make them normal again.

I once endure a go-juice junkie. Let him/her do no work at all, sleep most of the time, smoke a lot of weed, drink beer when need to, and be patience.
Now my junkie is my primary chef.

I went through that^ Go juice junkie was in a hospital bed for what seemed like forever. It took a silly amount of time to get him off the stuff then when he did, all he did was go on beer and smokeleaf binges, then got killed in his first fight against mechs. one charge blaster shot to the head, instadeath. He never had a mark on him besides that. What a huge waste of time.
Arrest them and lock them up in a double secure room.
