Caravan Travel Speed

So i noticed that not all caravan have the same travel speed. Anyone know the factors affecting the caravan speed?

Seasons. Colder seasons slows your movement quite a lot. If you got pawns are injured/sick/intoxicated, they will slow down the caravan. If someone breaks, no one gets hurt but the caravan will completely stop, using up food.

Also, some biomes allow faster travel in general while some like jungle or mountains are really slow.

IIRC it's also affected by the speed of the pawns and animals you send. The caravan's speed should equal the speed of its slowest member, multiplied by an environmental factor from the biome and season.
