Share your Hospital layout
Most of the time I create a Hospital that looks something like this. Room size and entry points vary but not the layout of the beds, vital and TV. In a pinch, can still add 2 horizontal beds attached to the vitals monitor.

Efficient as the layout is, it's not ideal if there is a patient on the verge of breaking. If patients are sleeping, each time the doc treats someone the other patients get -disturbed sleep. So started to think about making a new layout. Came up with these layouts but not really thrilled with any of them.

So I ask you, what are you using as your hospital layouts?

I just use either one giant room with sterile flooring late game, (also, don't the monitors only affect one bed at a time, at max?)
Early game, I use a 1x3 room with a statue, sterile floors and a normal bed, switched to medical, so that it's cheap.

Nope, they effect every adjacent bed. So you can do 8 beds on 1 vitals.

nothing special, got no other screen atm..

sunlamps wont give you any bonus for operations. but sometimes i still build them.
just a vital monitor and a chair for the doc on the other side.
not that the AI would use the chair all the times :D
(standing on the vital monitor instead to do the job)

Thanks!

With the mood problems of a massive shared OR/Post-Op, the only thing you can really do is offer TVs, make the room pretty (use sunlamps with potted plants), have good food, and make very comfortable hospital beds. Simple, inefficient, and expensive, but necessary.

One vitals monitor can only work with one hospital bed. I don't think rigging it like that will work?

Try if for yourself. Setup the way I have them and then setup 1 not attached and look at the last 3 lines in the info tab of the beds.

Current colony MASH - nothing fancy and no plans for improvement as the spaceship is almost built.

@OP I'm not sure if any layouts from the 2nd picture would work for the undisturbed sleep, maybe the one in the top right but since the rooms are open you'd probably get the debuff still.
the best bet is your default layout, just try making it a little bigger, make sure to keep it clean and use the sterile tile if you can afford it. you can have one of your pawns that are good at art make some statues and improve the beauty of the room, and when you make the beds have the best constructor do the work and deconstruct and make it again if it is not at least good quality.
@everyone else, look at the wording for the vitals monitor again. it says a hospital bed can only be connected to one monitor, not that one monitor can only be used on one bed. it is the same for the tool cabinets that boost the production tables like stonecutting and the rest.

The waste of power with the sun lamp :s
Well, except if you use mod that need that...

Also even though a pawn is in hospital they still get the mood buff/debuff for their normal bedroom, so to help prevent that break give them the best one (or worst if "ascetic")-I tend to have 1 or 2 super bedrooms for mood support.

Can you tell which ones are my masterwork beds? All the beds fit squarely in the mega screen zone btw

Gonna steal your layout. I use an even smaller room with 4 beds and a flatscreen TV. I like yours more, because I've had up to 9 people injured at once.

@OP

I just gave up on trying to get a nice setup.

I just do an 11x11 room split into 4, 5x5 rooms...same design for colonist bedrooms.

You have room for 4 people and they each have their own closed room, so no disturbed sleep...

Really with all the debuffs that come with a hospital stay I really wanted to get disturbed sleep off the list as if they break while being treated they are probably dead.

If I end up needing more than 4 beds long term, I just switch whatever sick colonist's bed to medical and just have them use their own room.
