My taskbar shows up in fullscreen.
This only started happening recently but my taskbar is showing up even though i'm in fullscreen native resolution. Does anyone know how I can fix this? It only happens with this game.

Literally just found the answer haha.

Go to your resolution settings and change them to something else, then just revert it. Keep it in full screen mode, though.

Old post but I found the actual answer for anyone that googled "rimworld taskbar showing" like I did. Ever since I ran the creators update for windows 10 I've had this issue in everything, not just rimworld.

Check to see if there's a notification icon that requires attention. My windows defender required attention because I had some features turned off. Once I hid the icon by going into Task manager > Startup > disable windows defender notification icon - and rebooted, that fixed the issue.

So instead of having to change the resolution and then revert every time I alt+tabbed, it now functions as normal again.

This isn't available as a fix for windows 7 and I cant find a fix for this. ever since I formatted my computer the taskbar pops up in every fullscreen game i try and play or when i change it to full screen it puts my mouse pointer out of focus causing it to click half way across the screen from where my mouse actually is.

Looked at some other discussions since I had the same issue, this worked for me:

- Open Task Manager

- Find 'Windows Explorer' (It should be under 'windows processes' near the bottom of the processes tab.

- Click on it and it will say 'Restart' instead of 'End task'. Click that.

This won't restart your computer, it reloads your desktop. Depending on how much stuff you've got on your desktop and taskbar, this shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
Anyway, this worked for me so hopefully it works for you.
