Vitals monitor
I know lots of people have taked about them, but they never seem to clarify one thing. One monitor can support 8 beds, but there were some mentions that even though it does, only one pawn will be affected by it. Anyone know if this is true?

It can only be hooked to one bed

The wiki
Increases patients treatment quality. Needs to be placed adjacent to a medical bed. One medical bed can be linked to only one vitals monitor.

I like that none of the replies so far actually answers your question. From what I understand they should affect more than one patient at a time, but not positive. I tend to just make one per bed or something one per two beds just in case. They aren't that expensive and by that time I usually have enough steel and components.

1 : 1 ratio in my experience

Nope, only one vitals monitor per bed, as others have said. Ergo... one vitals monitor per pawn. Unless you can somehow cram all 8 of them into one bed? Which would be fun..?

This is one vital monitor by bed but this is 8 beds by monitor.

Vital monitors doesn't affects the pawns.
They affect the beds.
Check the description of medical beds near the monitor...
you will see all 8 of them is affected by it.
There is NO reason to believe it affects only one pawn...

As per description and testing: One bed can't be boosted by multiple monitors (so no super medical boost) but you can connect as many beds to that one monitor as you want/can fit. Similar mechanics to toolboxes (where 2 toolboxes can boost a ton of benches, but 3 won't boost it more)

Indeed, but that's why it was so confusing when I read the comments about it affecting the pawn rather then the bed.

I like that this is the only comment that actually mentions people testing it.
