EMP weapons too inneffective against mechanoids
I mean, it takes innitiative to gather emp weapons in vanilla so you may as well give them a use other than stunning and minorly burning a mechnoid for 2 seconds before they become somehow immune.

Should have a chance to disable their processing unit, or even just give them a medical condition to lower their combat effectiveness

EMP mines are 100% accurate. Just want to point that out. You just need proper planning to make use of them. And a few components.

And EMP grenades can "shoot" around corners if you construct your base accordingly.

the whole point is to halt them from doing dmg and prevent them froming moving around as well emp mortars are the best way to good. You can effecivtly keep a mechoid stun indef with emp mortars

Also the year is like 2550 or something they have a trick up their sleeves to repeair form emp and keep in mind today there are ways to "emp proof" wires and stuff.
After the first emp blast they are immune to further effects, so you cannot stun them indefinetly

EMP *mines* are not in the game. Not in vanilla. The closest you can get is building an EMP mortar and have it explode when mechanoids are near it. Funny, it doesn't even need to be loaded to do that.

Correction: to stunlock mechanoids with a single EMP grenade throwing dude you need Triggerhappy. Then he spams so many grenades they can't adapt fast enough.

doesnt adapting mean you can no longer take emp damage, not that you recover from it?

You only need 1 second to kill a scyther. You get 5 seconds stun at worse. To everyone saying it's underpowered and bad. More like it's fuc.king broken.

you dont need it for scythers
if you can get close enough to trow a emp you can just shoot it dead before it can do anything

People were mentioning scythers hence I said scythers. You don't "NEED" an emp grenade for anything. You can just shoot anything dead before they can do anything. Emp grenades make life easier and are legitimately broken. Especially with trigger happy since you throw faster.

Two people throwing EMP would also work, but you'd need to stagger them. I think "adapted" just means increased resistance for the next hit, so it wears off quicker. Throw many grenades by whatever means possible and it will get stunlocked.

But honestly even a normal person throwing EMP grenades is a big help if you have someone else who can dish out damage. You can even send melee people (preferably with kevlar vests and helmets) and they will chop scythers up with ease if they're EMP stunned. Scythers are fragile enough to be killed in melee if you have a few attackers, I've done it without EMP.
