Report a translation problem
Use the "Caravan spot" mod to mark where caravans should be (in a safe spot when raids occur) to prevent friendly fire. Trade ships are just rare in general so you can't really rely on them. Best way to make trade is to be friendly with a faction and request a trade caravan, the price should cost 300 sliver, if not gift them untill it does.
I never had any problems with trade ships, in the last 2 games with the same mod list i got around 2 trade ships in a month, which was pretty good, but in my current game 1 in a year. Thats why its so confusing, i didn't changed anything, no new mods, just suddenly less trade ships.
I hate him, I played him twice he rarely gave my coloniest diseases and raids. All he did was send ALOT of cargo pods, was quiet boring.
