How to check indoor temperature?

I know it's at the bottom right of the screen, but for some reason it doesn't show my on mouse tempature, only outdoor. I see people playing on youtube and it shoes wherever their mouse is pointing, why isn't mine showing accurate temperature exactly? Can't figure it out. It's really annoying since i can't see room temperature inside my caves. Anyone ?

I think steam screen is f11 or something press shift tab to check

its outdoors because it does not go along with the def of a room

Oh, hah. That is not technically a room because it is open to the outside. Thus its temperature is always the same as the outside temperature. You need to close it off and make it a proper room.
