best animal for breeding?
im wondering which animal would be the best for breading and right now i am thinking it would be any animal that lays eggs because you get lots of animals. Does anyone else know any good breading animals or could someone suggest what they think is the best animal for breading?

I only use chickens for eggs and huskies for hauling. They are my personal favorites, atleast.

pig and boar are good because they eat everything even corpse and have decent meat ratio and are good at fighting and hauling...

mufalo are always nice as long as you have a pasture+hay to feed them(even unused map tile they feed on thx to grass), plus their pretty sturdy makign them good canon fodder for raider
chicken are super cheap
alpaca for the wool but they arent strong nor effectiv

every dog/wolf are nice if a bit weak and their clean

warg are strong but costly in ressources...

rats cat squirrel and other small anymals consume too much food for their size, its insane.

It depends on what you want with those animals.
some egg-layers:
chicken are, as it was said before, cheap and bread super fast - probably the best for food.
tortoises are surprisingly strong - I saw them bring down wolfs 1v1 (although it is more an exception, then a rule, but still). Having 20-30 of them might help with defense.
I think iguanas are somewhat similar to chicken, but I’m not sure.
Birds, other than chicken i would not recommend - they breed slowly and only lay fertilized eggs.
There are also snakes - but they are bad. Only if you really want some cobraskin cowboy hats.

bears, enough said

Alpacas have some valuable wool. I tend to only ever do Alpacas and tame/slaughter everything else for skill training.

Chickens are great BUT can REALLY get out of hand if you don't keep an eye on them. If someone is collecting the eggs then you have a good steady suppy of food. If not you can find that between a few incidents (raids etc) your 5 chickens have expanded to 25 with fluffy yellow bodies everywhere! Of course the occasional culling can provide meat.

With A16 dromedaries and muffalo are better than alpacas. Alpaca wool is super good, but unless you are living in an extreme biome other types of wool will be enough. Muffalo and dromedaries give milk, wool and are pack animals, plus muffalos are tough.

megasloth for the win. need someone with 15+ animals for them to be effective tho.

elephants are pretty cool, but they obviously eat like elephants. I think dogs are the best for breeding because they are easy to train, good at fighting and haul staff. alpakas are my 2nd favorite as they are easy to train, provide wool and can fight but unfortunately you don't get that many of them on the map. muffalos are amazing as well, but they eat a lot. chickens are the most efficient for food and breed quickly but won't help you with defence. rabbits are decent for food as they breed quickly. I had some iguanas recently, but they are too slow for fighting so I won't recomend them. if you ever manage to tame rhinos let me know how amazing they are

Alpacas don't produce nearly as much but good luck getting a mass of megasloths and muffaloes without difficulty.
