Faction Limits
I currently only see 1 outlander, 2 tribe and 2 pirate factions is this par for the course for all games? Or is it randomly generated so in one game there may be 5 tribes, or 2 outlander factions etc? If it always follows this format I'll have to add some from mods

Maximum amount of tribes is 3, pirates is 2, outlanders is 3.

Minimum for all of them is 1.

You can always use that mod if you want more of the vanilla factions:

Or use mods that add new factions.

Ah..so is it just a bad roll? No way for it to increase naturally mid game?

I got one mod that add new faction.
Medieval time mod.

That add new technology (medieval style) like all kind of steel weapon and armors,
crossbow, ice box, new security thing etc... and one new kind of faction, medieval.

They are like tribal.
Harder.
Their raids are always pretty bigger vs the other one, most of them melee
and wear steel armors... from chain mail to complete plate armor.
They are pretty tough when you are not used to it.
This is pretty easy to be swarmed by them, specially on harder difficulty.

Ohhhh snap. I thought this was a conversion overhaul that was in its own world thus only ran mods within its own timeline. I guess if there are tribals it makes sense that there'd be knights. Specially since Outlanders having guns arent native to the Rim

If you start as tribal, this is easier and harder in the same time with this mod.
To get electricity, you have to research almost all the medieval things...
but in the same time, you can do basic armor right at the start
using wood or leather.

There is also different kind of bow...
So you are not like: short bow, great bow, guns but more like,
short bow, recurved Bow, long bow, great bow, crossbow, arbalest, guns...
There is more a big progression and there is more choices which is nice.

I got a game with medieval time + cthulhu mod as
a tribal and I have a lot of good time.

Oooooo now I might really get into it then. It doesnt add any traits does it? That might mess with Psychology mod. Any notable incompatibilities with other mods??
