Is it possible to extend seasons?
For example a seaon is 25days not 15?

You can add the Permanent Map Condition, Climate Cycle, using the Scenario Editor. It makes the whole 4 season cycle take multiple in-game years, which drastically lengthens the season lengths, but not the in-game year length.

Without looking too much into modding though, I'm not sure whether you can change the season length / year length directly.

You need to change the dll.
Hours by day, days by month, days by season, day by years...

I was able to find where and I am going to try if changing that works.

Ahh yeah, I see it. DaysPerSeason.
Haven't really touched dll modding for RimWorld yet. I've edited someone elses dll for their mod, to tweak it the way I wanted it, but not made one from scratch. So wouldn't really know what to do.

whats the DLL called?
Emmote Feb 21, 2017 @ 12:29pm
It's class GenDate in
....\Steam\SteamApps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll
Or at least, that's where I found it.

For some reason, there is
Day by month, day by season, day by year...
but also tick by hours, tick by days etc...
So... that mean if I want more day in a month, I also need to calculate
how many day by season, by year etc ... but also all the tick thing... ? oO

What a pain in the ass.

I think I am going to do an excel sheet...
So once I am done, I am going to be able to get all the numbers right aways
when changing what I want.

Have you checked that they're all used? Maybe some are obsolete?

I am not sure at all.
The days by x are probably used...
this is the ticks...
maybe he puts them there to save the calculation each time one hour is passed.
Even if this is a really simple calculation, having
to calculate them each time is a waste of time and ressources...
that wouldn't be really optimal.

Yeah it seems he's converting ticks to hours / days / months / etc. as and when he needs it, which does make sense.

So yeah, it does seem that you'd have to recalculate each DaysPerX and TicksPerX for whatever length of year you're after.
That seems like a right pain.

I was able to made the dll but the game doesn't seem to activated it.
I am sure of it because I use the dll to change the starting year... and we
still start at the default year.
I don't even get errors...
I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Did you change the dll in place? Changes to the Core files aren't actually loaded (they seem to just be there as a guide/reference for modding). Try putting the changed file in a mod and making sure it's active.

I'd be keen for a real year mod.
Guessing growing time would be massively extended, and you would have one huge harvest with longer preservation times without fridges also.

You would need crazy storage for winter months :S
