Mental breakdown: pigging on food
I'm a new player and, at the start of fall year 1 one of my colonist got this breakdown.

She totally broke my colony eating something like 20 meals in a single day.
I read in the wiki that right clicking on them show pop an option to stop them, I tried but actully nothing happened

What should I've done to manage the crysis?

make sure your coloniest are happy and they won't break, if you really don't want her pigging out on food then arrest her.

Could be worst i guess .... sometimes they go amok in drugs ... even had one die from a overdose, but yes keep them happy.

How can you arrest her? Draft a coloniest and click on the coloniest, there should be a "arrest" option avaible.

How can you make your coloniest happy? Joy, fine meals, pleasent surroundings, smokeleaf, beer, art ect.

As people said, arrest a person who does that early in the game. It's harmless later, when you have plenty of food, but a food binge when you have like 50 total units of food or less can end up killing your colony on any map with a long, hard winter. Or extreme heat.

Always keep 1-2 rooms available to stuff prisoners. You'll need it for mental breakdowns, pyromaniacs, chemical binges, and the occasional escape pod/raider you want to recruit.

Select someone, hit "R" to recruit them, right click on target and select arrest. You might also want to rectuit someone else too and tell them to melee attack the one who hath ate all the pies. Just make sure they are not holding a melee weapon of any kind when you do.

As for the drug binges, no biggie. My prime colonist, pilar of our community is always going on drug binges but it's never caused me a problem. Wanna know why?
No, I dont get rid of all drugs like a pansy and no I don't try to hide them behind forbidden doors that won't stop him anyway..
Wanna know how it's done?

Can you drag a binging person to a cryptosleep? I didn't know that! I thought it only let you put people in jail.

You actually don't need to arrest escape pod arrivals anymore.
If your hospital is nice (i.e. real beds in rooms instead of sleeping spots on the ground) and your doc (and other persons caring for patients) are nice, here is a good chance that escape pod arrivals will finally join you, even if you "just" rescue them

I always try to recruit them nicely first, yes. My hospitals are usually like, Mayo Clinic-level nice. But sometimes they try to leave anyway! I'M KEEPING YOUR FOREVER, SON.
