Can caravan travel over sea

So I bought game spawned myself in middle of an isolated island thinking no one will come to me then I realized the importance of traveling around but I made caravan order it to travel to other place but it won't because sea is in the middle of the route so is there a way to get my caravan out of the island I mean merchants come to buy how? I also want to invade so yea help

Use transpot pods.

Can u load a caravan into a transport pod cause if load people they are not caravan so they can't travel remember I isolated my self so all are far

you load supplies and people into the pods not really the caveran its a different system taht does the same hting

Make all the pods drp them at the same location. It will create a map there, and from there you can form a caravan and be on your way. Don't forget to give them supplies to build pod launchers for their return!

Restart and put your base right next to a settlement, not only can you send caravans in matter of hours but they also send you troops to fight when you have high opinion with faction.
