Sell whatever weapon or clothes that are not in use (just keep enough parkas or dusters for everyone). Unless you're got a talented craftsmen, sell all leather/fabrics/plasteel/gold/jade/uranium. If you got a good crafter, sell gold/jade/uranium until you think you're geared up.

Also sell/burn all drugs that you don't want around. While we're on the subject of burning, vanilla Rimworld allows for apparels to be burnt off. Weapons can be destroyed in the Smelter but it'll require research, power, and components.

If its in the map wouldn't the game think its yours? so things that are dropped by raiders and passer by pawns raises your wealth right?

@OP

Its generally not too bad so long as you do the logical things like burning raider bodies and clothes/weapons you dont need or selling them quickly, while not going crazy with stockpiling things.

You can glance over at your history tab to keep an eye after raids and so forth to get a better idea.

One big thing to watch out for though is deconstructing mech corpses, the plasteel etc that they give can end up adding a massive value to your colony...so I know many people end up building their machining bench and start working through the corpses they stored up and end up getting smashed by the next raid as their colony wealth doubled, lol.

Yes, whether they're forbidden or not. The same rule applies to freebie drop pods.

Once an npc drops either a molatov or a frag grenade you can draft a colonist and area fire at items you dont want.

Chunks have no monetary value. I am a personal fan of setting up a trading post asap near or halfway to an outlander base. Take your nasty little pyros or staggering ugly pawns and have them man the outpost and act as couriers. All excess wealth gets humped over to the outpost and sold off asap. Hell you don't even have to hump it once you get tranport pods. Easy. And if your misfit camp gets raided, who cares about some dead pyros and uglies?

is your trading post a camp (mod) or did you just bump the number of colonies you can have?
