Flagstone vs. Tile
Flagstone cost the same to build as Tile (4 blocks). Flagstone has no beauty (tile is 2 beauty), returns nothing when deconstructing (tile returns 2-3 blocks). So why would you ever build Flagstone instead of tile, even for roads?

Flagstone is faster to build.

I made a mod to reduce the cost to two per for flagstone, I find that more balanced and a reason to actually use flagstone floors.

It's called Flagstone Cheaper, I'd link to it, but it's a pain on mobile with the steam app.

Hummm, might pick that up, Black. I liked the idea behind flagstone but as OP has spelled out there isn't really much of a debate when I come to picking a stone type to throw down. Now I might actually use flagstone (which based off of its picture ingame looks better to me than tile funny enough, considering it's beauty score).

That's interesting. I tend to use a lot of flagstone. Tile has no real benefit over it IMO, the 1 beauty doesn't matter nearly as much as covering up dirt, and flagstone is built more than twice as quickly. Getting the stone back doesn't matter either, it's stone, and that's assuming I ever decide to upgrade it to carpet which I rarely do (carpet burns now). The amount of beauty you get in a room from the floor is nominal, a single normal quality stone large statue provides far more room score than a 10x10 room of tiles would add over flagstone.

Same argument people have had about smooth stone in the past and how it was such a huge advantage over other floors. It has never really mattered, and the lack of wealth added by smooth stone made it basically equal to carpet anyway.
