destroying clothing
Say I have a bunch of clothing i want to get rid of, stuff thats too degraded to wear. I cant sell it fast enough and need it gone. How?

I would create a stockpile designed for low hp clothing, and then molotov it when it gets full

Make sure it has stone walls / doors obviously.

Sounds like your only option is to sell it for nothing or make a dumping stockpile somewhere outside for clotes and wait for them to desintegrate

Make a campfire, then set a bill to burn clothing.

But I dont understand how you force it to burn. does it just randomly burn a piece of clothing?

One of your colonists would have to do it. I use a mod that reclaims fabric from useless clothes now

To burn clothes at a fire or crematorium, you set up a bill (like for crafting). The "ingredients" section lets you control what type(s), quality(es), and hit point total(s) are eligible for destruction. Then your colonists will grab each item that matches those criteria, take them to the fire, and hey presto, they're gone!

For instance, you could set the bill to all clothes of Shoddy or lower quality, any hit point, Do Forever. This would (eventually - as with everything else, your colonists need time to make it happen) destroy all of your clothes that are below Normal quality, and spare all those of Normal quality and above. Or you could set it to destroy everything below 50% hit points. Or all the pants. Up to you!

^ that can also work on a stock pile somewhere in the open. it will take time but eventualy it will degrade to nothing. plus if a trader does show up you can still sell it.

Personally i would go with the reclaim fabric mod. Gives you a extra bill at tailoring bench where it does what it says. Even can put in criteria like under X% of hp, normal or worse. Deadmans clothing etc. Gives you new materials which you then can use to make new clothes.
