How does one get just cloth :/

Or if you have the Medival mod loaded, you can disassemble raiders clothing at the Medival tailor workstation as well!

There are two standalone mods that let you take apart old clothes as well. One is Recycle, the other is Reclaim Fabric.

vegetable garden has an option for that too
with it you need to proces the cotten into cloth before you can use it
i think a mill
you can dissasemble cloting on it too
