How do I get cloth in this situation?

So, I'm playing a tribal only colony at the moment. All my people are sleeping on the floor because I need cloth to build these tribal beds. Problem is I'm playing with seeds please so I need cotton seeds before I can grow them.

Is there any other way to make cloith? Like from animal hides or something?

I meant to start with some cotton seeds but totally forgot.

Yeah, doesn't work. Just gives leather. I might have to just use dev mode to give myself some seeds.

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind. I CAN use animal skins. Right clicking on the beds lets me choose. Thanks!

Seems like you found a way but you could also try to tame some Alpacas of Muffalos, they do give wool which can usually also be used the same as cloth.
