Incest lovers never actually love?

So, sometimes when I start a colony, I set up an incestuous couple (using Prepare Carefully mod), just to see what would happen. And eventually I realized, I've never actually seen them 'love'. As in, they're both in bed and hearts are coming out instead of the usual Z's. But then I thought it might've been the traits I was picking So I did a little testing, setting up couples on new planets, having them quickly build a shelter with a double bed, and seeing what happens that night.

Usual traits, lovers, but not related: Love.
Random traits, lovers, not related: Love.
Random traits, lovers, siblings: No love.

With a regular relationship, lovers typically have sex something like 2/3rds of the nights they spend together, sometimes more. But with incestuous lovers? I have yet to see it happen even once in 65+ hours of play. Being married doesn't change that, either. It can't even be just a privacy thing, these couples don't have any neighbors within miles. What gives?

Edit: On a quasi-related note, loading a save that had sibling lovers, with 'unknown' parents, apparently makes the game forget that the pawns are siblings. Might just be a mod issue, but thought I'd mention it.

*shrug* Just seemed strange. How can they be lovers if they've never done the deed? Plus a +12 Mood buff's nice.

Oh, how times have changed...

Old man snark aside, it's likely that a check for familial relations takes prescedent over further calcs related to being lovers. You might also (and I can't believe what I'm typing right now) experiment with different types of incestuous relationships, to see if it's the same case with all of them or just the one you tried.
