Is it possible to make prisoners a sort of courtyard?
I wanted to make a sort of prison colony, but I was just wondering if it were possible to create a courtyard for the prisoners by having each of their cells connecting into a large single room; but the cells do not have doors so that they're able to wander from there cells to the courtyard. Or do you think they'll just get negative debuffs as if they were sharing a cell with a bunch of different inmates?

they will still be sharing but the mood hit is almost nothing if u consider how easy it is to make them happy

I know, but I just think it's annoying that Rimworld at the moment really doesn't really have much to do with prisoners besides keeping them in cells. I wish they would delve just a little into prisoner management a little more. Maybe give prisoners access to certain indoor rooms so you don't recieve negative moodlets at all.

Prisoners not worth recruiting are peg-legged and dentured... if they survive as training subjects for my doctors they are sent on their slow way to freedom....

Besides recruiting, medical practice, and organ harvesting, I do wish we could do more with prisoners. I have seen a suggestion for slave labor (greatly reduced work speed due to shackles,) which sounded interesting to me. Or ransoming them back to their faction like they sometimes offer you if they kidnap someone.

^^^^ Yes, I would love to have the ability to enslave your prisoners. Perhaps having the Warden role also watch over your group of shackled slaves planting and picking crops, or mining materials.

Yea, I agree, prisoners with VIP life are totally not immersive to the lore XD
IMO prisoners in a colony on an alien planet should be forced to be productive while having threatening life & harsh environment
