is it best to burn wood walls
a stack of wood
wood furniture

what is the most efficient way of turning a cave into an oven on a map where wood is rare?

You won't believe it, but steel walls are the best way to create an oven. They burn very slowly, but produce as much heat as wooden wall does.

you cant grow steel and it has other functions lategame
while lategame wood is only good for burning

and then my question still remains steel walls or furniture?
but mostly which wood object is what interests me

Pretty sure you can just make animal beds out of cotton and burn those

They all burn at the same rate, the deciding factor is the HP, im fairly certain 1 cotton will burn as long as 75 cotton will if its a stack. I suggested animal beds cause theyre made with cheap material and have 100 HP if i remeber correctly, which is more than enough to start heating up a cave
