This demo update is a few months overdue, but such is life as part-time indie developers. Our last update included some changes that were still a work-in-progress, but we wanted to comply with Unity's security standards, so we pushed them immediately. This time we've iterated on those changes while also including several fun new settings for y'all to play around with!

Nothing too crazy, but still pretty cool to us!

We're super excited for y'all to play around and climb your way up to the top of the leaderboards /ᐠ - ˕ -マ Ⳋ

Anyway, summary below:

• As always, leaderboards have been reset

• We now have checkpoints in the levels!!! (that you can disable cough cough)

• Removed (old) lvl 3 & 7 as we felt the quality standard was not up to par with the other levels

• Minor iterations to existing levels (also added more breakable pots)

• Level select portal images updated to match the current set of levels

• HUGE overhaul to options menu (including brand new gameplay settings!)

• Some new additions to UI in general (main menu button icons, etc.)

• You can now press 'ESC' to back out of submenus (wowowowow)

• Updated slide speed reticle/tongue thingy to look nicer

• Misc. visual optimizations (textures and such)

• Updated menu feedback form

• All the options menu settings actually save and load properly now

• Main menu camera no longer gets stuck between submenus (FINALLY)

• UI elements no longer cut off part of the buttons on screens with aspect ratios below 16:9

• tiny other lil fixes here n there

On that note, we will be focusing on internal development for the next few months. No fixed timeline, but the next demo update will likely be in ~Q2 2026. We have lots to cover, and unfortunately, some of the changes are so broad that builds will be too janky to push publicly... that being said, we might do some private playtesting, so join our Discord server if you wanna be part of this journey!!!

This time's a LOT different from our usual updates, as a lot is going on within the Meowmentum team right now. Our scheduled update has been delayed due to life getting in the way, but we are still relentlessly committed to this project /ᐠ - ˕ -マ

Though development has slowed down in the past few weeks, we're very, VERY excited to show off our new concept artist's work in the form of new key art and a new logo! As not much has changed in-game, this one's (yet again) unaccompanied by a leaderboard reset.

With the help of our new concept artist, we hope to refine our vision and create something we're truly proud of going forward. Thank you for sticking around -> you're paw-some!
