Since the game is centered wholly around the public domain, I wonder if the creator either intends to make profit on it or just let it be freely available out of principle.

Can any collectibles in the game just be classic public domain cartoons? Epic Mickey had extra cartoons, but not too many. With how many public domain ones there are now, you could have enough to make it the whole collectible thing in a video game.
