It's been reported that a new and or remastered Carnivores game is in the works! I am totally excited to see some more life breathed into this series!

Meh, I don't want to play dino survival games.

I wonder if I'm still in the credits with this remastered Carnivores game. I'm glad I have the original Carnivores 2 (I think that's the title) game on mobile :D

I hope it arrives eventually and i hope that they also add some much needed DLC or content updates with new dinos(maybe some carnivores) as well as weapons and maps.

this makes me so happy i have the OG disc still and sucks that i cant play it due to it being a very old game and not having a disc player on my pc lol

In the mean time, might I recommend trying some Carnivores Mods? All of the best ones at Moddb come self contained, so all you have to do is download and play, no CD or extra files required.

damn, really? I actually didn't know that any recommendations for 2/iceage? Since it looks like they gave up on us before it even happened. lol what's new I guess. Hopefully they prove me wrong but doubt it.

Yes! Carnivores Triassic and Mandibles are my personal favorites so far. Feel like actual carnivores games and don't require the base game to function. So far I've had it working on Windows 7 without issue. Not sure if it will do Windows 10 but it should. There's also Carnivores+, which remakes the first game in Carnivores 2's engine, also available without the need of the base games. There's also quite a few decent Jurassic Parks mods as well that are standalone, but I forget the names right now.

Oh okay, cool will look into those. Nothing to fix that itch for the eerie yet lived in feel of that series. It's sad, so many people seem to love them, we got shadow man, and turok along with other things like quake updates. Wish nightdive would touch it, would be awesome.

Yeah, saw that too. Apparently the delay was caused by the devs expanding the base game in some way (hope that means new dinosaurs, but the post only mentioned "new features"). Fingers crossed. Would love to see this franchise revived on PC again.

Try searching for Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt Playtest in your library, if you own the og game.
Seems like it's that beta mentioned in the posts above.

I've opted into the beta through game properties. A small 1.6mb download...what changes were made exactly? menu UI?
