Notification of Server End of Life
Hi,

We're afraid to announce that as of Feb 28th, 2015 we will turn off our multiplayer servers permanently. This means that you will no longer be able to play a multi-player game of SCH. Single player mode will continue to function.

Thanks for all of your support over the lifespan of this project.

All the best,

Rocket City Studios

Wow. I normally like being justified in my pleas for multiplayer centric games to have local and / or LAN functionality... but this is just sad.

At very least, you guys should drop the price of the game to next to nothing. After all, it will essentially be less than half the product it's intended to be without multiplayer...

Y NO local co-op? T_T

Can't get my head around why the game lacks any local co-op functionality. It's usually a given for these types of games...

My only rationale would be that it was stuck in Greenlight so long (it ended up hitting mobile devices first, even though it was initially planned for PC, IIRC) that they figured no one really wanted the game, so why bother with local multiplayer? And although I could understand this kind of thinking, it sure did undermine their product, as it turns out.

But I still don't get why the game won't be able to run its multiplayer through Steam... It's not like it's an MMO -- it only needs a P2P connection.

Believe me, I would never make this call if I had not already tried to look pretty for a key for Sale. Even so thank you for trying to help.

I found only one shop selling RU Activation. But I have never used this kind of thing and prefer not to use.

well after reading this am kinda glad i didnt waste my money buying the game. I am shocked since the game was not out long and it has already lost its multi player. Also the price off the bat was set a bit high, i would of bought it the 4pack but for a reasonable price and its sad it was a flop. Anyways enjoy the game single player guys.. i sure wouldnt since it looks more enjoyable co-op or multiplayer. It feels like they just took your money and bounced.. kinda feels like it..

It's seemingly been removed from every store front it was on. IOS, PSN, this.

I wanted to try it out, and was just waiting for a slight price drop. Oh well.

True devs dont even care about us.

I would've suggested they at least explore developing some sort of dedicated server option for the few players that might be interested in keeping online play going. I had fun with it after launch but I don't think small dev teams can generally keep online co-op games going if they don't have some sort of continuing revenue stream available (or a deep pockets publisher behind them).

I am getting tired of supporting small dev teams who essentially abandon ship (see Recruits), leaving us buyers with orphaned, usually broken or unfinished games. I'm probably going to try to be more careful about games I support in the future. One can only flush so many dollars down the toilet.
