How to find "gate to durins higway"?

Hi, have been looking for hours and we are getting desperate. We are early in the game, we have found a pit with tons of orcs and spiders that seem to respawn faster than we can kill them. Are we supposed to be there? Also found a cave troll.

Maps say "the western halls".

Any clues on where to look? We have been to the big forge and that big open area, but are now completely clueless on where to go next.

From what i read each world is a random spawn, Think that means it can be different each game. what you want to do is use your map ( M KEY) on the left side of the map find Durin's gate and click on it then you should see a way point come up and you can click on show. It should point the way see screen shot I'm towards the end of the game. but you can use this for reference.

I just made it to that area. My gate was in the north part funny enough, so yea, each map seed has different places for stuff. Remember how minecraft has map seeds to load in different lands? Well this game uses map seeds for different configurations of maps.

It should get marked on your map when you get the goal.

thanks! I have tried that but once I am down in the "cave" we cannot get past the goblins, if we kill them, the spiders and the cave troll they just spawn again. Making it impossible.
I see the waypoint "back there" but unable to get to it. I am wondering if I am at the wrong place all together, or am I supposed to fight all these high difficulty mobs first? Even switched to easy to no avail.

I posted my map here, and the waypoint is way off, and tons of respawning goblins in its way. I have run past them, to only find spiders and walls.

You're looking for the highway entrance in the mines. And it sounds like it is on the far side of OrcTown.

You can't just run to it and go on. You need to explore the mines to upgrade your gear, then clear OrcTown, and then check out the gate to the highway.

Even if you manage to slip past OrcTown and get to the gate, you can't advance until you clear OrcTown. (Without spoiler,s you pick something up in OrcTown after beating the boss, and you need that to advance beyond the mines.)

If you destroy the banners in orc camps, then they don't respawn anymore (and you get a key to an orc chest, which in the mines usually have 2 back diamonds).

ah so you mean that I am in the right spot, but I have to kill them all? Did not know about the spawning banner. That would indeed make it easier.. :)

There's only one orc you have to kill. You will know when you have found him, and after that, you will no longer have to worry about horde spawns in that zone, though any banners you left standing will still spawn orcs around them.
