So de-spawning should not happen.
In the past, (first release), trees would not grow back. That had me worried also. Later in the game I found out were to get "fresh" suplies. Wonder if that is still the case.
If so, then there was a Bear bumbling about, knocking all the Trees over.
Bears destroy things they walk into. I don't know if they destroy walls too, but i have seen them walk straight through trees, trash barriers and even stone braziers.
yeah i got to get elven wood from bear patrols at some point, but in my case, this is not it anymore, the whole map has 0 tree and nothing to loot either
i added a simple hearth next to the forge but i don't use it, i will try to remove it to see if there is any change. but even then, the whole area wouldn't be covered, it doesn't even cover enough of the area to build in the entrance of the forge, but maybe a bugged indirect effect.
If there are no grabapples, cabbage, etc. either then I'd say youe game is bugged.
Same. Campaign mode, slept plenty, still no Elven trees respawned, not even any Elven wood pieces (as in bears knocked over the trees).
Avoid building the base too close to the trees also. If you build it too close, they will not respawn.
It's in a small corner of the quarter in an area that has no trees nearby. There's trees all over the place though, just awkward to get them to spawn it seems. Haven't gone back yet to check if they respawned again or if I need to sleep specifically in the zone.
Looks like it is linked to sleeping in the area. Confirmed that sleeping in a base or camp here will respawn the trees. Did this several times in my game and they actually do respawn.
