Reseal the wards (sealing the vents)
The game made me think that rebuilding the statute in the big room with the 3 shadow vents would stop all other shadow vents in the game if i recall it said they were all connected but i destroyed a Durin's lamp and the shadow return.

Nope. Every shadow miasma is it's own source of evil. To fix them you would need to build Durin's Lamp on every spot. The statue only seals the area around the statue, but not the other ones spread throughout the maps.

I never read that they were all connected. Do you have a screenshot showing that someplace? I would like to see if the game does say that.

Durin's Lamp recipe was original reward for resealing that big room at the end of game. Current version of game gives this recipe much earlier, but torso of original quest still remains and has confusing text. Actually you can seal those three vents by building one Durin's lamp in near the middle of the room (as I did, but it won't clear the quest).

You can also use that bright brew recipe if you found it. It lets you walk thru dark miasma and go down cracks without getting shadow cursed and despaired. It makes your dwarf glow too.
