No belegost forge in sandbox?
Can sombody help me there? I repaired the drain pumps but i can for the life of me find the gate to the pilgrim deeps. I explored everything in the deeps but there are no more rooms left and i have no idea how to find the belegost forge.
The wiki says that the forge is supposed to be in the third deep but all i have down there is an orc fortress and the mithril area. Could it be that i have to cross through that part first? Doesnt seem likely for me since i cant even deal with the enemies there. :S

Nevermind, it was behind the mithril lode area after all. bit weird to generate it like that but oh well.

Yeah, seems to be a lot of RNG with sandbox maps so anything stating X should be near Y can't really be trusted in that mode.

Strange, I have found the forge but can't find the drain pump station area anywhere.

always good idea to clear out every mining area even if u don't need it. u never know whats behind it !!
The object of RANDOM MAP SEEDS is to be random per game. It is like when you play a random seed version of stardew valley. It is supposed to be random, so you may have to look high and low to find it. It is even more random in sandbox than in campaign mode, so be aware of theat. Look up near the top of ceilings, or even down.

Thank you for this explanation. I would have never understood random map generation without you... :S
The point here is, that you have to cross areas, that are waaay to dangerous for your current gear level. Having to pass through the mithril area just to unlock the second great forge is problematic because the game makes it very hard to survive those areas due to that weird damage resistance of high level enemies.
Random map generation is fine, but it still needs to have some sort of structure in a game that is so heavily equipment gated as return to moria.
This does not generate the "good" kind of difficulty, it simply forces you to die repeatedly for progression.

Have the same issue with the dark miasma pools. There super hard to cross, and i have yet to find Kazin steel yet. I did find that building the wooden quick platform is a way around them though. Also had to run thru poison mushroom places. It is meant to be that way i think though.

Those are both stationary and easy to avoid with a bit of brainpower like you said. When you got 10 Shadow Orcs on your ass while wearing the basic iron armor, its kinda hard to mine through the compacted dirtwall to get to the next area :P
