Prepare for Durin’s Return
I have slayed the Dragon and also got all achievements

However I still got a quest called "Prepare for Durin’s Return"

Its read something like:
"Mine mithril, restore Dwarrowdelf, and make the Mountains safe"

How do you do that?.
I mean how do you restore dwarrowdelf and make the mountains safe

Already mine a lot of mithril ore so far.

The Prepare for Durin's Return mission is for right now a never ending mission, you just now get to freely play around in Moria and build and live there. maybe a DLC will come later.

It is just a placeholder quest, you cannot actually complete it.

@Battlekruse I had the same exact question when I got the endgame quest also. Thanks for asking it here in Discussions. I just didn't want to waste my time restoring Dwarrowdelf for nothing! Thanks for answering @stallionn and @Fell Mor!

Ty for this post, I was wondering how to get it done but I guess we just have to cross fingers for a DLC!
I wish we could start making houses and shops so our fellow dorfs could move in

honestly the second "ending" thru durins gate make me hope to get a trader or some dorfs
we have established a way back to moria - so where are the dorfs wanting a piece of the cake?

Massive end game and post game spoilers;
In the end game cut scene, Gimli gives you his company. That big bunch of dwarves in the opening cut scene when the game launches? They work for you now. You can even exit the west gate and talk to one of them. If not for game limitations, they would all move into Moria with you.

It was foretold that Durin VII would reopen Moria and that he would clear out the orcs. You reopened Moria, you cleared out many of the orcs, and you also cleared out the dragons.

It was foretold that Durin VII would bring the dwarves back to Moria. You have Gimli's company available to move in now. Others will follow on their own now that Moria is open again.

You found the Kazad stone, the symbol of the Durin line. You reopened Durin's forge, and rediscovered how to make durinal metal and armor. I'm pretty sure at the end of the game, no one else knows how to make durinal metal.

You should be named Durin. Instead the King is going to give the Kazad stone to someone who had nothing to do with reopening Moria.

But instead, you're "The Lord of Moria" and you are charged with preparing Moria for Durin's return after the King hands Durin the Kazad stone. Then when Durin deigns to drop by in a few months, you have to turn it all over to him.

and only members of durins line are able to speak with ravens

Have you ever played Fallout 4 where you keep getting those "save the settlement" quests? There kinda all the time and permanent. So yea, this quest is like that one.
