But..the way you describe the game, it's probably not the game for you.
The fights are a bit clunky but it is not that bad once you get used to it.
Maybe it does need you to love the works of Tolkien and a little bit of willful ignorance where they deviated from his lore a little bit.
all in all, the game is good enough to get that many good reviews, maybe you don't like it but that does not make it a bad game for everyone.
and the dwarven songs are really well done, there is that too.
Maybe you should buy it again on Steam and then leave a real review made by yours truly to enlighten the people with the truth.
There is no point in trying fighting everyone alone
Be critical, by all means but be specific.
unfriendly mechanics?
Boring tunnels?
it's all so very generic and honestly, your post looks more like a troll-post or angry rant and not like valid criticism.
The game does have it's downsides and enough bugs to make an entomologist happy and that should be mentioned but not this way.
Fun fact: Unfinished products are not finished products.
Thanks for the snotty kid forum review though, lmfao
Since you seem to have convinced yourself that this is a recent developement, I guess I'll weclome you to the realities of the non essential luxury goods market we call gaming.
1. Amazing atmosphere and accurate LOTR vibes
2. Perfect camera position
3. Love my little dwarf character
4. A ton of awesome armor/weapons
5. Genuinely tough in some scenarios
6. Great art style
7. Great building
8. Combat might not be DMC, but its better than most other survival games. The combat is 10 x better than valheim and Enshrouded. You get magic to imbue weapons with as well. I have a freaking electric halberd and my dwarf flips it around and does sick combos.
11. Good narrative, especially for a survival game
12. Even better with friends. They really emphasized this with things like sharing brews, mining and singing together etc
13. Buffs. A ton of ways to buff your hero through eating/many other ways. This is a deep survival game with some really nice rpg mechanics.
I really dont understand why you dont like it
Oh, and the music is such an awesome vibe. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVE THE MUSIC
