"Fix" for black screen instead of cutscene

ADDITION: For those trying to find a solution for this problem, try pressing ALT+ENTER first, as suggested below by @ChuLeeYen.

So, my partner, who has a MUCH BETTER PC THAN I runs the game at (almost?) maximum settings. I run on the "High" preset.

My partner gets the black screen problem quite often on Campaign- to the point where recently, him hitting Day 11 led to a permanent black screen, no matter how often he reset the game, it kept coming back. (We even bug reported this..)

We tried quite a bit, set the game to admin only, backwards compat, all the usual, none working. Verified game files- all fine, uninstall, reinstall, absolutely no effect.

And then it hit me: I have never had this issue. Why not?

So I set my partner to the High preset as well. The game STILL looks JUST AS GOOD- no noteworthy change despite the lower settings. Still gave issues.. so we turned off Supersampling, since he had the AMD FSR2 setting on, and I had.. well, nothing there.

..And now the game is running fine again. I hope this can help others fix their problem.

I bought this game today and keep having this issue. FSR2 is off but it happens anyway, usually when a cutscene is supposed to play

Can only suggest you put the preset on High or lower as well..

I'm not a dev and honestly, having better graphics settings should really not cause errors =_=;

What helped me earlier when i was not able to continue the campaign was to hit ALT + ENTER during the blackscreen. That fixed it :)

Aaand ALT+ENTER actually did it. The cutscene popped up immediately. So this may be a better "fix" than turning your settings lower. Thank you, @ChuLeeYen.

To note: The cutscene that played after was one where Baker gets told members of his crew went off by themselves and was asked to ignore them or send a van to help..
